Carlsbad, Calif. – The Mizzou women's golf team remains in the top 15 through two days of the NCAA Championship on Finals.
The Tigers finished the second round ranked 13th as a team with score of +7. Following Sunday's third round, the tournament will see a cut down to the top 15 schools.
Four Tigers rank in the top 65 nationally in the national championship field. Freshman Ebba Liljeberg leads Mizzou at +1 for the tournament, carding a 73 in Saturday's action. The rookie posted a one-under tally on the back nine – birdies on 13 and 18 – to move up three spots on the leaderboard on Saturday into 38th place.
Senior Melanie Walker matched Liljeberg with a 73 on Saturday. Just like her teammate, Walker finished the day strong with birdies on two of the final three holes as she now has a two-day score of +2 and moved up 14 spots to 46th overall.
Senior Jade Zamora is even with Walker at +2 for the tournament (71-75), while classmate Addie Dobson is just one stroke behind, ranking 64th at +3 (72-75).
The Tigers are set to tee off on Sunday at 10:20 a.m. CT, looking to remain in the top 15 to advance to Sunday's fourth round.
