
Men’s Golf Moves Up Two at Michael A. Marino Classic

The Mizzou men's golf team continued play at the Michael A. Marino Classic on Monday, improving its team placement by two spots during the second day of action.
Freshman Reese Roberts continues to lead the Tigers by placing 22nd of 90 golfers through 36 holes, finishing today's nine holes at two-over par. Roberts birdied hole 10 to open the back nine, carding a 36 (+2) on the day. He sits at +1 for the tournament.
Veikka Viskari is second on the team at +1 after leading Mizzou with a one-under tally of 71 during the second round. He is followed by Trent Mierl and Virgilio Paz both at even par on the day(72) with Brock Snyder (74) and Esteban Cruz Bonilla (73) rounding out the Mizzou performances.
Among the highlights on the day was Paz carding a three on the par-five 15th hole for an eagle – part of a stretch that saw him go four under in four holes.
Overall, the Tigers are +9 as a team through 36 holes, finishing seven strokes better on the second day compared to the first. Liberty sits first in the tournament at 12 under par.
