
Women's Golf Secures Fourth Victory of the Year at Valspar Augusta Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Mizzou women's golf claimed its fourth tournament victory of the year as the Tigers carded a 10-over 298 in the final round of the Valspar Augusta Invitational on Sunday at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The victory marks the first time since 1987-88 that Mizzou has won four tournaments in a year.
Following a dominant performance on Saturday in the opening two rounds of play, Mizzou entered the final round with a nine-stroke lead and held the advantage to finish at 2-under (862). No team finished under par on Sunday.
Junior Fleur van Beek and freshman Ebba Liljeberg topped the standings for the Tigers and finished tied for eighth at even par. Van Beek climbed eight spots in the leaderboard and posted a team-best final round of even par, while Liljeberg finished 2-over.
Senior Addie Dobson finished 2-over and tied for 14th after a 3-over 75 on Sunday. Jade Zamora concluded the invitational 3-over with a 5-over final round of play.
The entirety of the Tigers' lineup finished in the top 25 as senior Melanie Walker came in 21st to round out the performers.
