Mizzou tennis closes out its weekend of Southeastern Conference play on the road with a loss to Mississippi State on Sunday, March 15.

Doubles saw the Tigers coming up short, as sophomore Korina Roso and senior Andrea Artimedi fell 6-2. Mississippi State also received a default win, securing the doubles point for the Bulldogs, with freshman Alex Ackman remaining injured. Freshman Lara Quaglia and sophomore Zoe Lazar were down 5-3 when their match went unfinished.

Mississippi State clinched the match after two wins in singles, as they also received a default singles point. Quaglia was defeated 6-3, 6-1 in the third singles slot, while Roso fell 6-4, 6-2 on court one. Artimedi was in the midst of her third set after winning the second set of her match. Lazar and sophomore Gian Octa also left their matches unfinished.

UP NEXT
Mizzou travels to Normal, Illinois, for a midweek matchup at Illinois State on Wednesday, March 18, at 12:30 p.m. CT. The Tigers then head home for a doubleheader on Thursday, March 19, against No. 7 LSU and Eastern Kentucky.
