
Men's Swimming Sending Six to NCAA Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou's men's swimming squad punched six tickets to compete at the 2027 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships, the organization announced Wednesday. The competition will be held March 25-28 at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Two standout swimmers qualified for individual events at the national championships. Luke Nebrich will compete in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly events while Jan Zubik will swim the 200 fly, 200 back and 100 back.
Nebrich punched his ticket in the 50 free at the 2026 SEC Championships (Feb. 20) when he finished fourth with a time of 18.74. The time is the fastest men's 50 free time in Mizzou history. The Lexington, North Carolina, native sits at 12th going into the Championships. In the 100 free, Nebrich ranks 20th with his 41.63 swim at the Mizzou Invite (Nov. 22, 2025).
Zubik secured his bid at the Mizzou Qualifier (March 1) when he broke the school record in the men's 200 fly going 1:40.57. The senior ranks 23rd amongst NCAA Division I competition going into the Championships.
The men's squad will also see action in the 200 free, 200 medley and 400 medley relays. Nebrich, Darden Tate, Ethan Vance and Francois Malherbe earned their ticket to the Championships in the 200 free relay after they set a school-record time of 1:15.64 at the Mizzou Invite (Nov. 20, 2025). Mizzou's squad ranks 11th in the event. Quinlan Gould and Zubik will swim with the team in the 200 and 400 medley relays.
UP NEXT
The women's squad kicks off the postseason March 18-21 at the Women's NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia at McAuley Aquatic Center. Competition will begin each day with prelims at 10 a.m. CT and conclude with finals at 6 p.m. Live results will be available via Meet Mobile and DiveMeets and streamed on ESPN+.
