
No. 7 Gymnastics Beats No. 8 Arkansas, 197.425-197.225, on Senior Day

The win marks the fifth time in the Welker era that Mizzou has beaten multiple top-10 opponents in the same season.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics capped off its regular season home slate with a 197.425-197.225 win over No. 8 Arkansas at Hearnes Center on Sunday's Senior Day meet before 3,858 spectators.
The Tigers (10-3, 3-3 SEC) used a season-best 49.475 on bars, tied for the sixth-best mark in program history, and matched it with a 49.475 on floor to defeat the Razorbacks (5-5-1, 2-3-1 SEC).
SHOWSTOPPERS
Mizzou claimed a share of all four event titles for the third time this season.
Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) earned shares of the vault, bars and floor titles, scoring 9.875, 9.925 and 9.925, respectively. She was joined on vault by Kimarra Echols (Henderson, Nev.), on bars by Miaya Terry (Couer d'Alene, Idaho), whose 9.925 marked a career high, and on floor by Kaia Tanskanen (Howell, Mich.). Railey Jackson (Forest Park, Ill.) captured the balance beam title, matching her personal-best mark of 9.950.
"I think the sticks are getting better as we move through the season," said head coach Shannon Welker. "We closed out super strong on floor, and the win gets us to .500 in the SEC, so we're really excited about that as well."

VAULT
-Going second and third, Tanskanen and Kennedy Griffin (Strongsville, Ohio) scored 9.800.
-Horton notched a 9.875 from the fourth position, which was matched by Echols from the anchor spot.
-Missouri totaled 49.125 in its first rotation and trailed Arkansas, which earned 49.200 on bars to open the meet.
BARS
-Missouri's 49.475 on bars marked a season high.
-Makayla Green (Mays Landing, N.J.) opened the rotation with a 9.850.
-Green was followed by Lauren Macpherson's (Gilbert, Ariz.) 9.900, marking a new season high.
-Going third, Olivia Kelly (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 9.875.
-Terry followed in the fourth spot with a 9.925, and Horton matched the score in the fifth position.
-Mizzou took over heading into the midpoint of the meet, 98.600-98.375, and never relinquished its lead.
BEAM
-Amy Wier (St. Louis, Mo.) led off with a 9.875.
-Macpherson posted her second 9.900 of the afternoon, going second.
-Jackson tallied a 9.950 to win beam, marking her third career score of 9.900 or better on the event.
-Missouri totaled 49.350 in the third rotation.
FLOOR
-The Tigers opened their final rotation of the day with three consecutive 9.875s from Jackson, Elise Tisler (Fairfax Station, Va.) and Ayla Acevedo (Virginia Beach, Va.).
-Tanskanen tied her career-best score of 9.925.
-Horton matched Tanskanen with a 9.925.
-Griffin closed the meet after receiving 9.875.
