
Women's Basketball Travels to No. 7 LSU Sunday

Mizzou women's basketball will travel to face No. 7 LSU at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network.
Mizzou (16-12, 4-9 SEC) enters the contest following a loss to Auburn on Thursday.
Junior guard Grace Slaughter led Mizzou with 19 points and five rebounds. Slaughter has scored in double figures in every contest this season.
Returning from injury after a three-game absence, senior forward Jordana Resima contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
Slaughter is 25th in the country and fifth in the SEC with 19.1 points this season. The junior has played 40 or more minutes in three contests and is 14th in the country and second in the SEC with 35.92 minutes per game this year.
In addition, the junior has nearly doubled her rebounding average from 3.6 to 6.9 per game this season.
Slaughter was named to the Cheryl Miller Award Small Forward of the Year Mid-Season Watch List on Feb. 4.
On the season, Mizzou is ranked 20th in the country and fifth in the SEC in 3-point percentage at 36.4%.
Missouri is 27th nationally and fourth in the SEC with 8.5 makes from beyond the arc per game.
Individually, sophomore guard Chloe Sotell (38.2%) is currently ranked eighth in the conference in 3-point percentage.
Mizzou ranks 11th in the country and first in the SEC in free-throw percentage at 78.9%.
Dowell (122) and Slaughter (108) are third and fourth, respectively, in the conference in free throws made.
Opposite the scoring end, Mizzou is 17th in the country and fourth in the league in defensive rebounding with 28.9 per game.
LSU enters Sunday at 23-4, including a 9-4 mark in SEC play, following a win over Ole Miss on Thursday.
Head coach Kim Mulkey is in her fifth season at the helm of the program with a 144-24 record.
In her 21-year head coaching career, Mulkey has a 777-128 record.
LSU's roster is headlined by senior guard Flau'jae Johnson and junior guard MiLaysia Fulwiley, who average 14.2 and 13.6 points per game, respectively.
Sunday will mark the 20th game between the teams. LSU leads the all-time series 15-4, including a 7-1 mark in Baton Rouge.
