
Senior Tigers Earn Top Finishes on Third Day of SEC Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tigers' third day efforts at the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships were led by senior swimmers in Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
Lafayette, Colorado native, Karolina Bank swam a personal-best 58.96 in the women's 100 breast prelim to qualify for the event's A final. Bank followed her prelim result with a fourth-place finish in the final, touching the wall in 59.27.
Senior Jan Zubik reached the A final with a 1:41.19 swim in the men's 200 fly prelim at his last SEC Championships. The Poland native dropped time in the final with a 1:41.13 performance and sixth place finish.
Another senior contributed to Mizzou's points tonight. Collier Dyer hit a mark of 425.20 in the men's 3-meter diving competition to finish ninth. Dyer was followed by Tanner Braunton in 19th with a score of 320.20.
Eight other Tigers competed in finals tonight in Allan Jones. Show Me State native, Matthew Judkins, finished 11th in the men's 200 fly with a time of 1:43.18. Freshman, Drew Ploof was close behind Judkins with a 16th place finish and time of 1:43.85. On the women's side, Maeve DeYoung completed the 200 fly in 2:00.38 to finish in 24th.
Zara Zallen swam a NCAA qualifying standard time of 1:00.22 in the women's 100 breast to take 15th place. Senior, Paige Striley also reached the 100 breast final, putting up a 1:01.13 performance to come in 23rd. For the men, Logan Ottke finished 14th in the men's 100 breast with a 52.53 time.
The 100 back finals saw swims from Quinlan Gould and Libby Bakker. Gould finished the men's race in 48.99 for 16th place while Bakker finished 18th in 53.11 for the women's competition.
