Soccer’s Rylie Morse Earns All-SEC Freshman Team

Morse becomes seventh Tiger to earn the All-SEC Freshman Team nod.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou soccer forward Rylie Morse (Lebanon, Ohio) was named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, the league announced on Thursday.

Morse led the Tigers in points (12), assists (4) and shots (29), shared the team lead in goals (4) and ranked second in shots on goal (14). She played 1,144 minutes across 16 matches with 12 starts. She is the first Missouri freshman to lead the team in points since Milena Fischer in 2021, and her four assists are tied for sixth-most on the program’s freshman list.

Morse is the seventh Tiger named to the SEC All-Freshman Team and the first since Bella Hollenbach in 2022.

She scored the first two goals of her career in a 5-0 win over Southeast Missouri State on Sept. 4, finding the top-right corner in both the 15th and 65th minutes.

Against Texas A&M on Oct. 22, Morse scored the equalizer with nine seconds left in the first half and set up the game-winning goal within the opening minute of the second. The three-point night was her fourth multi-point effort of the season.

Morse was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 26 for her performance against the Aggies, the fifth time a Missouri student-athlete has won the honor and the first since Kylee Simmons on Sept. 18, 2023. She is also the second true freshman in the conference to win the award since the 2022 season.
