COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women’s basketball head coach Kellie Harper along with student-athletes Grace Slaughter, McKenzie Mathurin and Nevaeh Caffey are set to appear at SEC Tipoff '27 on Oct. 14 at Hotel Wildemont in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
The media day event will feature appearances on a variety of national media outlets including SEC Network, ESPN and SiriusXM.
Harper's main media session from 10:35-10:50 a.m. will be broadcast on SEC Network.
Harper enters her second year after leading Mizzou to its most wins since 2017-18. She earned her 400th career win last season, had the best start by a first-year head coach in program history at 12-3.
Slaughter, an All-SEC honoree, returns for her senior year after ranking 33rd nationally and sixth in the SEC with 18.7 points per game. Slaughter will enter the year 12th on the program's all-time scoring list.
Caffey joined the Tigers this summer following one year at Indiana. Caffey started all 32 contests for the Hoosiers and averaged 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
She scored in double figures 12 times, including the last eight of nine games to finish the season. Caffey scored a season-high 18 points in a victory over Penn State on Feb. 28.
A native of Warrenton, Mo., Caffey was the No. 65 recruit in the class of 2025.
Mathurin came to Mizzou this offseason after one year at Michigan. A native of Broken Arrow, Okla., she helped guide the Wolverines to their second-ever Elite Eight appearance last season.
She appeared in 25 games off the bench, recorded double figures in three contests, while averaging 3.5 points and 0.7 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game.
In a win over Penn State on Jan. 8, Mathurin scored a career-high 15 points on 5-for-8 shooting to go with an assist and a steal.
A four-star prospect and the No. 39 overall recruit in the 2025 class, she averaged 22.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a senior at Broken Arrow High School.
