Dobson Finishes Runner-Up as Women’s Golf Takes Second at OU Intercollegiate

WICHITA, Kan. — Mizzou women’s golf closed out the OU Intercollegiate on Tuesday with a second-place finish at Wichita Country Club, led by a runner-up individual performance from senior Addie Dobson.

The Tigers finished the 54-hole tournament in second place after shooting a strong final round, highlighted by Dobson’s five-under-par 66, tying the lowest round of her career and marking the lowest round of the tournament for Mizzou.

Dobson finished second individually at seven-under-par across all three days, recording five sub-par rounds in the first six starts of her season. She carded five birdies to pace the Tigers in the final round and secure her second-place finish.

Senior Melanie Walker also delivered another strong performance, finishing fifth individually at four-under-par after carding a two-under 69 in the final round. Walker recorded five birdies on the final day to round out the third lowest tournament score of her career.

Senior Fleur van Beek finished tied for 18th at one-over-par after shooting a two-under 69 on Tuesday, her best round of the tournament and lowest tournament score of her season.

Junior Alexandra Berglund finished tied for 22nd at two-over-par in the field of 66, capping the tournament with her best round of the week.

Sophomore Addie Surber placed tied for 38th at seven-over-par, followed closely by freshman Page Bowman who finished tied for 40th at eight-over, the lowest tournament score of her career.

The Tigers closed out the tournament with its best team score of the week at nine-under-par in the final round.

Mizzou will compete in the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah Country Club in Chicago, Ill. from Oct. 12-13.
