
Diving Puts Up Strong Performance in Loss to No. 8/6 Louisville

Men's squad falls 198-101 and women fall 205-90.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – After strong efforts from Mizzou's diving squad, University of Missouri swimming and diving fell short to No. 8/6 Louisville at their home pool in Ralph Wright Natatorium Friday afternoon.
Both Cardinals squads defeated the Tigers with a score of 198-101 on the men's side and 205-90 for the women. Despite the loss, Mizzou was able to pick up seven individual wins.
The women's diving squad swept the 1-meter diving podium to pick up 16 points for the Tigers. Gabriela San Juan Carmona snagged gold with a score of 290.48 followed by Mia Henninger in second (286.20) and Megan Jolly in third (284.33). The senior diver picked up another win in 3-meter diving with a 314.10 score and Jolly finishing behind her in second (311.85).
Tanner Braunton led the way on the men's side earning first place finishes in men's 3-meter and 1-meter diving. The Parker, Colo. native put up scores of 380.78 in the 3-meter competition and 341.33 in 1-meter.
Sophomore standout, Luke Nebrich secured individual wins in two events. His first gold came in the men's 50 free with a 19.23 swim, and his second in the men's 100 free coming in at 43.01.
The women's squad was able to secure first and second place finishes in the women's 200 fly through Maeve DeYoung and Kylee Sullivan. DeYoung topped the podium with a time of 1:58.71 and Sullivan followed with a 1:59.13 time.
NOTABLE RESULTS
- Quinlan Gould remained dominant in the men's 100 back touching the wall in 46.69 to take first place.
- Senior Jan Zubik added another win in the men's 200 fly with a 1:42.55 performance.
- Both men's and women's 400 free relay squads secured second place finishes.
