Evin Beck joins Mizzou as Senior Associate Athletics Director and Executive Director of the Mizzou Athletics Fund
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Athletics announced Wednesday the addition of Evin Beck as Senior Associate Athletics Director and Executive Director of the Mizzou Athletics Fund, where he will lead the strategic growth and stewardship of the department's fundraising operation in support of competitive excellence in the Southeastern Conference and nationally. Beck will join Mizzou's administration in February.
"Evin's addition provides our great Mizzou Athletics Fund team with a seasoned veteran in athletics fundraising to lead the group and drive future philanthropy," Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said. "We're looking forward to the Mizzou community welcoming Evin, his wife Kayla, son Maddox and daughters Elsa and Emmy to our Tiger family."
"Evin brings a proven track record of leadership, relationship-building, and results at the highest levels of collegiate athletics," Mizzou Executive Athletics Director and Chief Revenue Officer Blair DeBord added. "His experience in our league and his vision will be instrumental as we continue to elevate our fundraising strategy and drive revenue growth in support of the student-athlete experience and competitive success at a national level here at Mizzou."
Beck joins Mizzou from Vanderbilt University, where he most recently served as Associate Athletics Director, Executive Director of the National Commodore Club – the school's athletics fundraising unit. During his tenure in Nashville, Beck provided executive leadership for fundraising initiatives across Vanderbilt Athletics, including its $300 million Vandy United campaign and a sellout of its new football premium seating projects.
"I'm grateful to Laird, Blair, and the entire Mizzou Athletics leadership team for the opportunity," Beck said. "Mizzou has incredible momentum, and I'm genuinely excited to work alongside our staff, donors, and alumni to build strong relationships and help support continued success."
Prior to Vanderbilt, Beck served in administrative and development roles at Auburn University, University of Georgia, University of Mississippi, Duke University and Wichita State University, where he earned a master's degree in sports administration. Beck, a native of Claflin, Kansas, was a football student-athlete at Washburn University, where he graduated with a degree in sport management.
Along with Beck, the MAF recently hired Jarett Gerald as Assistant Athletics Director for Major Gifts. Gerald comes to Columbia from Duke University, where he served as a major gifts officer and was responsible for cultivating and stewarding philanthropic support for Duke's athletics programs. Prior to his four years at Duke, he spent time at the NCAA and University of South Carolina as Special Assistant to the Head Basketball Coach.
Additionally, Mizzou Athletics promoted several members of its development staff in recognition of their leadership and impact:
• Austin Collard has been promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Development
• Eryn Samuels has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Development & Strategic Initiatives
• Connor Jordan has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Revenue Generation
"These hires and promotions reflect our continued commitment to building a best-in-class revenue team," DeBord said. "Austin, Eryn, and Connor have each played vital roles in advancing our revenue strategy, and Jarett's addition further strengthens our ability to connect donors to the future of Mizzou Athletics."
