
Track and Field Establishes Seven New Top-10 Program Records at Show-Me Showdown

The Tigers close out their second of five home meets with several event titles, personal bests and top-10 program records.
Mizzou track and field extended the 2026 indoor season with dominant performances at the Show-Me Showdown on Friday at Hearnes Center Fieldhouse. The Tigers posted a number of personal records and entries on Missouri's list of all-time indoor performances. And for the second week in a row, Mizzou had six event winners.
The meet showcased instate schools and besides the Tigers, the competition came from Missouri State, Lindenwood, Kansas City, St. Louis U., Missouri S&T, Lincoln (Mo.), Park, Maryville, Southwest Baptist and Missouri Valley.
TOP TIGERS
Brianna Utecht, a junior transfer from Wichita State, had an impressive Mizzou debut. She won the long jump on her very first attempt, leaping a personal best of 5.94m (19-6) – the 10th best indoor mark ever at MU. She followed that up by placing second in the 60m hurdles with the eighth best time at Mizzou – 8.71 (also a PR).
For the second straight week, the Tiger women swept the top-five positions in the weight throw, led by sophomore Reagan Kimrey who became just the fifth woman in Missouri history to top 20 meters. Her winning mark of 20.09m (65-11) was a personal record and ranks fifth in MU history. Senior Petra Gombas was right behind with a PR distance of 19.47 (63-10.5) which ranks sixth all-time at Missouri.
Sophomore Marlena Tresnjo won the women's high jump for the second week in a row, clearing a personal-best 1.80m (5-10.75) that stands as the seventh-best mark on the Missouri charts.
Senior Anna Vedral won the pole vault for the second straight week, clearing 3.83m (12-6.75) to clinch the eighth-best spot on the program leaderboard, her second time posting her name on the list.
Dillon Leacock won the 600m dash in 1:19.66 and took second in the 60m hurdles, improving on last week's time of 8.29, with a 8.14 this week which ranks fifth all-time at Mizzou.
RECAP
Junior Delilah Pippen placed third in the women's weight throw with another PR of 17.64m (57-10.5) followed by Ames Burton (16.69m/54-9.25) and Kaitlyn Morningstar (15.83m/51-11.25).
Senior Sam Innes, who holds the school record at 22.98m (75-4.75), won the weight throw at 22.20m (72-10). Clayton Kamp was fourth (18.10m/59-4.75) and TJ Wiggins took fifth with a personal best 17.30m (56-9.25).
Juniors Chase Crawford and Sam Albert went 2-3 in the men's shot put, both with indoor personal bests. Crawford threw 17.66m (57-11.25) while Albert posted a mark of 16.47m (54-0.5). Kamp was seventh (14.62m/47-11.75).
Missouri had four of the top five finishers in the women's pole vault. Following Vedral's victory, sophomores Anna Ferguson and Allison Geen took second and third, with respective vaults of 3.53m (11-7) and 3.38m (11-1). Redshirt freshman Makenna Estes, in her first meet as a Tiger, finished fifth (3.38m/11-1).
Freshman Sophia Wydra was fourth in the women's high jump (1.57m/5-1.75) and fifth in the 60m hurdles (9.11).

Next week, Missouri hosts its third of five consecutive home meets – the second annual Bob Teel Invitational– inside the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 24.
