
No. 7 Gymnastics Scores 196.925, Falls to No. 2 Oklahoma

Junior Hannah Horton posts her third-straight floor score of 9.925.
No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics fell to No. 2 Oklahoma 197.425-196.925 on Friday at Mizzou Arena in its Southeastern Conference opener before a crowd of 4,039 spectators.
The Tigers (4-1, 0-1 SEC) posted a new season-high on vault (49.300). MU topped the Sooners (3-0-1, 1-0 SEC) on the floor exercise, 49.425-49.275, and collected six individual scores of 9.900 or better.
SHOWSTOPPERS
With her third-straight floor score of 9.925, Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) claimed a share of the event title with teammate Kennedy Griffin (Strongsville, Ohio).
Olivia Kelly (Bronx, N.Y.) matched her career-best performance on beam of 9.900, her fifth time reaching the mark.
"We saw a lot of great progress tonight," head coach Shannon Welker said. "We're excited that we can build on that and look forward to getting back in the gym on Sunday."

VAULT
-Mizzou's opening rotation on vault resulted in a 49.300 score.
-Horton led all Tigers with 9.900, her second-straight routine reaching or exceeding the score, while four others posted 9.850.
-Griffin led off the night with a 9.850, followed by Railey Jackson (Park Forest, Ill.), Echols and Elise Tisler (Fairfax Station, Va.), who each matched the score.
BARS
-Missouri posted a 48.825 on bars as Kimarra Echols (Henderson, Nev.) led the way with a 9.825.
-Going fourth, Horton contributed a 9.800.
BEAM
-Missouri's beam total marked its best of the night up to that point, a 49.375.
-Kelly matched her career-best performance with a 9.900, her fifth time achieving the mark.
-Lauren Macpherson (Gilbert, Ariz.) also picked up a 9.900, her second of the season thus far.
-Addison Lawrence (Olathe, Kan.) and Kaia Tanskanen (Howell, Mich.) each contributed 9.875 marks
-Amy Wier (St. Louis, Mo.) led the rotation with 9.825.
FLOOR
-Mizzou earned 49.425 on floor to close the meet.
-Horton scored a 9.925, good for her third-straight 9.925 to open the campaign.
-Griffin scored north of 9.900 for the first time this season, anchoring the final rotation with a 9.925.
-Ayla Acevedo (Virginia Beach, Va.) equaled her career-best score of a 9.900, her second of the season.
