Jackson earns her second-straight nod on the Preseason Top 100 list
Mizzou softball senior outfielder Emma Jackson (Chincoteague, Va./East Carolina) was named to Softball America's Preseason Top 100 player list, the organization announced on Monday, Jan. 12.
Jackson, a Chincoteague, Virginia native, earned the No. 83rd spot in the preseason rankings. This is her first preseason honor with the Tigers and second for her career, as she was named to the same list last year with East Carolina, where she was tabbed as the No. 62nd player on the list.
The senior transfer was named to the All-AAC second team in 2025, as she set a new Pirates single-season record, slugging 21 home runs. She concluded her junior campaign with a .326 batting average (.453 on-base percentage) and a .730 slugging percentage, as she collected 54 RBIs, nine doubles and 53 runs.
Jackson enters her first season with Mizzou as a two-time All-AAC second team and a one-time NFCA Mideast All-Region first team honoree. She also was named as the AAC Player of the Week twice in her career (one in 2025; one in 2024).
Over three seasons (Virginia Tech, 2023; East Carolina, 2024-25), she has slashed a .352 batting average (.443 on-base percentage) and a .721 slugging percentage, while accumulating 38 home runs, 36 extra-base hits, 114 RBIs and 119 runs.
