Three members of the Mizzou men's golf team were honored for their work off the course as Trent Mierl, Brock Snyder and Veikka Viskari all earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars accolades, announced by the GCAA this week.
 
Additionally, the Tigers were recognized with the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award for having a team GPA of 3.5 or higher. Snyder and Viskari both earned the honor for the first time in their career, while Mierl collected the accolade for the first time.
 
Viskari led the Tigers during the 2025-26 season with a season stroke average of 71.92, while earning an individual bid to the regional rounds of the NCAA Championship. He won his first collegiate title at the Tiger Intercollegiate in April, while posting five top-15 finishes overall during his junior campaign.
 
Mierl was second on the team with a 72.61 stroke average during his sophomore season. He collected three top-10 finishes during the campaign, finishing the year by placing fifth at the National Golf Invitational with a career-best score of 206.
 
Snyder added a 73.20 stroke average during his junior campaign. Competing in six tournaments during the spring season, he recorded two top-20 finishes, highlighted by a ninth-place result at the National Golf Invitational in May.
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be at least a sophomore, participate in 50% of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
