Men’s Golf Opens 2025-26 Season Monday

Mizzou men's golf begins its season on Monday – the first of three days of competition at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Michigan.
 
TOURNAMENT INFO
The three-day tournament tees off on Monday with the Tigers starting on the 10th tee at 11:27 a.m. CT. Mizzou continues action on Tuesday on the first tee at 6:57 a.m. CT before the action concludes on Wednesday.
 
The tournament will be featured on Golf Channel throughout the three days. Monday's live coverage window is from 3:30 p.m. CT to 6:30 p.m. CT, while the men will also be featured on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. CT to 11:30 a.m. CT. Wednesday coverage includes two windows of live coverage – 8:30-11:30 and 3:30-6:30 CT.
 
In addition to the golf tournament, The Folds of Honor Collegiate is also set to raise awareness and funds for Folds of Honor and its mission to provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disabled military and first responders.
 
COURSE OVERVIEW
The fourth annual Folds of Honor Collegiate is set for the Jack Nicklaus-designed American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. The par-71 course measures 7,174 yards in length.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Competing with the Tigers this week include two teams ranked in the top 25 of the preseason Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches poll. No. 9 Florida State and No. 18 Alabama lead the field, while Air Force, Army, Baylor, California, Cincinnati, Florida A&M, Grand Valley State, Kansas, Michigan State, Navy, Notre Dame and Ohio State also join Mizzou in the tournament.
 
RETURNERS
The Tigers return four of their top five scorers from last season. Trent Mierl led Mizzou with a stroke average of 72.39 en route to becoming the second Tiger in school history to earn SEC All-Freshman Team honors. Also returning for the 2025-26 campaign include Virgilio Paz (72.72), Veikka Viskari (73.58), Brock Snyder (74.06) and Bubba Chapman (74.22).
 
NEWCOMERS
Mizzou welcomes three new faces to its lineup for 2025-26 in junior Bradley Mulder – who helped Colorado Christian to the 2024 Division II National Championship – and freshmen Esteban Cruz Bonilla and Reese Roberts.
 
HOW DID YOU SPEND YOUR SUMMER?
The Tigers had a successful summer campaign, highlighted by a pair of Tigers in international competition. Veikka Viskari had a historic performance at The Amateur Championship, advancing to the semifinals and finishing with a bronze medal. Head Coach Glen Millican and freshman Reese Roberts also helped Team USA to a silver medal at the Toyota World Junior Golf Cup in Japan.
