COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri wrestling's Keegan O'Toole was named an Academic All-American for the third time in his career by College Sports Communicators, announced on Wednesday, July 9.
Just the second Mizzou wrestler to earn the honor three times after Tyler McCormick (2006-08), O'Toole makes the third team for the second consecutive season. The two-time National Champion collected second-team honors in 2023, followed by third-team in 2024 and 2025.
O'Toole closed out his legendary Tiger Style career as the 2025 Big 12 Champion and NCAA All-American (2nd -174). The Hartland, Wisconsin, native was 20-1 through the season, with 11 of his 20 opponents being ranked (including three ranked in the top five) and 8-0 in regular-season duals. Additionally, he marked his 100th career win by fall against Iowa State's Caden Schmidt (Feb. 22) after sitting out for two months due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). After going 4-1 at the NCAA Tournament, O'Toole totaled 16 bonus-point wins, earning a bonus rate of .762 this year, and brought his career record to 108-5 all-time to pass his former coach and mentor Ben Askren for second in program history with a .955-win percentage. For his efforts, the senior earned Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Big 12 Championship, as well as Academic All-Big 12 and NWCA Scholar All-America.
