Millican Selected as Team USA Coach at Toyota World Junior Golf Cup

University of Missouri men's golf head coach Glen Millican is set to represent the Tigers on the world stage, leading Team USA at the 2025 Toyota World Junior Cup.
In addition, incoming Mizzou freshman Reese Roberts joins Millican on the three-golfer team that will compete with some of the globe's top countries from June 24-27 at the Chukyo Golf Club, outside of Nagoya, Japan.
The Toyota Junior Golf World Cup is a junior golf championship held each summer in Japan for national teams of golfers 18 and under from around the globe. It was first contested in 1992 and has featured some of the world's top stars, including future major champions Trevor Immelman, Hideki Matsuyama, Louis Oosthuizen, Jon Rahm, Justin Rose, Scottie Scheffler, Charl Schwartzel, Cameron Smith, Henrik Stenson and Danny Willett.
Millican is the second Mizzou coach to lead Team USA at the World Junior Cup, joining Mark Leroux in 2014 when the team finished as runner-up. Overall, Team USA has claimed nine titles in the 30-year history of the championship with its last victory coming in 2017.
Having completed his second season with the Tigers and 24th as a head coach at the Division I level, Millican has claimed eight conference titles during his career – advancing to the NCAA Regionals on 19 occasions and the NCAA Finals eight times.
A native of Dallas, Roberts is set to join Mizzou for his freshman season in 2025-26. Roberts won the Texas State Amateur Championship in 2024, becoming the youngest winner in the 115-year history of the event.
Joining Millican and Roberts on Team USA are Lorenzo Rodriguez (Wake Forest signee) and Brooks Simmons (Texas signee).
Teams are set to compete in 72 holes of stroke play over four days with two scores from each nation's three-player roster counting toward the team score. Team USA is joined by England, France, South Africa, Morocco, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, Colombia and Chile at the 2025 championship.
