
No. 14 Seed Softball to Face Ole Miss to Open 2025 SEC Tournament

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Missouri softball will be the No. 14 seed in the 2025 SEC Tournament this upcoming week and will play No. 11 seed Ole Miss in the opening round Tuesday.
MU earned the No. 14 seed with the tiebreaker over Auburn which was win-loss record versus the highest seeded common opponent. Mizzou went 1-2 against Texas A&M while Auburn went 0-3.
First pitch for Tuesday's game is set for 35 minutes after game one between No. 12 seed Georgia and No. 13 seed Kentucky. That matchup is set for noon, CT Tuesday at Jack Turner Stadium.
Mizzou's opening round matchup against Ole Miss will be live on SEC Network. The winner will advance to face No. 6 seeded Florida Wednesday at 4 p.m., CT.
MU is 11-10 overall at the SEC Tournament and 7-3 in the past three tournaments. The Tigers went 3-1 at the 2024 SEC Tournament, advancing to the Championship Final.
In 2025, Missouri and Ole Miss faced off March 30-31 in Oxford, Mississippi. The Tigers took the series finale, 9-5, after the Rebels took the series-opening doubleheader.
