Tigers post best student-athlete spring semester GPA in school history.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri student-athletes completed another record-setting semester in the classroom during the spring, earning a cumulative Spring 2025 grade-point average of 3.402, the highest spring semester student-athlete GPA in the university's history.
In addition, 89 Mizzou student-athletes earned 4.0 GPAs this spring — another spring semester record for student-athletes. In total, 108 Mizzou student-athletes were honored for earning their degrees during commencement ceremonies earlier this month.
This marks the 17th-consecutive semester Mizzou student-athletes produced an average GPA of 3.0 or higher. During the fall, student-athletes set the department's overall highest single-semester GPA at 3.44.
"Mizzou student-athletes continue to set the standard in the classroom," Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said. "Achieving the highest spring semester GPA in our department's history is a testament to their discipline and commitment to excellence. I couldn't be prouder of how they represent Mizzou."
"To follow a record-setting fall with another historic academic performance this spring speaks volumes about the culture our student-athletes have built at Mizzou," Executive Athletics Director for Academic Services Tami Chievous said. "They've embraced the challenge of balancing elite competition with academic achievement, and their success reflects the tireless support from our academic staff, coaches and support staff."
During the 2025 Spring semester, eight programs posted their highest spring semester GPAs in program history:
Gymnastics, 3.719
Softball, 3.618
Soccer, 3.846
Women's swimming and diving, 3.852
Baseball, 3.284
Men's golf, 3.549
Men's track and field, 3.430
Wrestling, 3.333
