
Mizzou Track & Field Concludes Regular Season at Texas A&M Alumni Muster Invitational

The Tigers’ track and field team return to College Station, Texas for the second of three meets between the indoor and outdoor season.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field wraps up the regular season outdoor competition with the Texas A&M Alumni Muster Invitational on Saturday, May 3 at EB Cushing Stadium.
Mizzou is joined by host Texas A&M, Baylor, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Louisville, McNeese State, North Texas, Rice, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Sam Houston, UT Rio Grande Vallet and UTSA.
This marks the first of two meets the Tigers will compete in College Station this season, with the team returning for the NCAA Outdoor Championship Round One meet on May 28-31.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Missouri has individuals competing in the following events (genders listed in order of competition):

-Women's 800m at 4:40 p.m.

RANKED TIGERS
Mizzou has three women and men representatives ranked in the top 25 of their event rankings heading into its final outdoor regular season meet.
The program is led by Monica Wanjiku's No. 8 ranking in the 10,000m, where she achieved a time of 32:21.97, which ranks fourth among freshmen nationally. Claudina Diaz, a 2025 NCAA First Team Indoor All-American, ranks No. 13 in high jump after winning the event at the LSU Battle on the Bayou with a jump of 18.2m (5-11.5). Valentina Barrios rounds out the women, slotting in at No. 19 in javelin, recording a throw of 52.99m (173-10) at the team's most recent meet at the Virginia Challenge. She has won all three meets she's competed in this season.
Callan Saldutto is the highest-ranked individual from the men's team, standing 13th in the country in javelin. His season best of 72.52m, which ranks fifth in the Southeastern Conference, came at the Virginia Challenge and joins Barrios with three first-place finishes in three meets this year. In the hammer throw, Sam Innes ranks 16th in the country after a first-place finish at the LSU Battle on the Bayou with a personal-best result of 68.75m (225-7). Sterling Scott rounds out the ranked Tigers with a No. 19 ranking in triple jump with a 15.78m (51-9.25) to win the event at the LSU Battle on the Bayou.
LAST TIME OUT
Missouri delivered record-setting performances at the Virginia Challenge on April 19-20 at Lannigan Field. Day one was highlighted by school records from Alicia Burnett, who broke a 38-year-old mark in the 100m with a time of 11.23, and Drew Rogers, who set a new school-best time in the men's 5000m at 13:41.63. Freshmen Wanjiku and Elijah Limo also etched their names into the record book with top-two all-time program marks in the 5000m (15:40.79) and 3000m steeplechase (8:53.23), respectively, while Steven Marks took third in the 100m with a time of 10.27. In total, the Tigers earned five podium finishes on the track Friday, along with top-three performances in both men's and women's hammer throw.
Missouri carried that momentum into day two, led by first-place finishes in the javelin from Saldutto (72.52m) and Barrios (52.99m), with Val Galligan also claiming third. In discus, three Tigers placed in the top five, including a runner-up finish by Tarique George. Burnett added a fourth-place result in the 200m, and Marks placed ninth on the men's side.
