
Tynan’s Top-10 Finish Paces Women’s Golf at MountainView

Senior Ffion Tynan posted her third top-10 finish of the season and fourth of her career to lead University of Missouri women's golf at the MountainView Collegiate in Tucson, Arizona, Tuesday.
In conditions that saw the field's scores drop during the final two rounds, Tynan was able to remain consistent, carding a 54-hole score of 219 (73-74-72) and finishing in seventh out of 77 golfers. Her even-par final round was highlighted by three birdies on the back nine and five overall.
Sophomore Fleur van Beek also placed within the top-25 following a season-best three-under 69 in the first round. Irene Garcia Sanchez posted a career-low round of 74 on her way to a career-low 54-hole score of 227 (74-79-74).
Three other Tigers finished in the top-50 in the field that features 77 golfers in the tournament. Jade Zamora recorded a 54-hole score of 228 to finish in 42nd. Alexandra Berglund and Melanie Walker carded a matching 229 to finish in 48th.
In a field that included four nationally-ranked schools, the Tigers placed seventh of 14 teams overall with a team score of +35, ahead of No. 47 Miami.
The Tigers will head to the Florida State Matchup on Friday, March 21 in Tallahassee, Florida.
