
Softball Announces 2026 Schedule

The Tigers will host 21 home games this season including the Mizzou Invitational (Feb. 27-March 1) and the Bye-Week Series (March 13-15).
Mizzou softball announced the 2026 schedule on Monday, December 8. The Tigers will host 21 home competitions over their 55-game regular season, including the Mizzou Invitational, February 27 through March 1, at Mizzou Softball Stadium.
The Tigers will face 15 NCAA Regional teams from the 2025 season, including three of the eight teams from last season's Women's College World Series: Oregon (February 6), Florida (Mar. 7-9), and Tennessee (Apr. 30-May 2).
MU's first pitch of the season will start with the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic (Feb. 6-8) in Clearwater, Fla., as the Tigers will then compete in three more road tournaments. Mizzou will stay in Florida for half of February, traveling from Clearwater to Orlando for a midweek game against UCF on February 11. MU finalizes the trip with the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational, Feb. 13-15, back in Clearwater.
The Tigers wrap up the road tournament slate in week three, as they take on the McNeese Tournament Feb. 20-22 in Lake Charles, La. MU will face three teams in this five-game tournament, playing Houston and McNeese State twice and Louisiana once.
After spending the first three weeks of the season in the southeast, Mizzou returns home for the Mizzou Invitational, where it will face Wichita State and Miami (OH) twice and Drake once.
SEC conference play starts with a return trip to the state of Florida, as the Tigers open conference play with the Gators March 7-9 in Gainesville.
MU's SEC slate consists of eight three-game series (24 games). The Tigers' first home SEC series is against Alabama, March 20-22, at Mizzou Softball Stadium. MU will also host SEC series against LSU (Apr. 2-4), South Carolina (Apr. 17-19) and Tennessee (Apr. 30-May 2).
Following the first SEC series, the Tigers host the Mizzou Bye-Week Series, as they welcome Minnesota, Iowa State and South Dakota, March 13-15 at Mizzou Softball Stadium.
Mizzou continues nonconference play as it travels to Illinois for a Braggin' Rights doubleheader on March 18 in Champaign, Ill.
Most of the midweek games this season will be on the road, with the lone home matchup against UT-Martin on March 11 at Mizzou Softball Stadium. The four remaining midweeks will be on the road with SIUE (March 24), Missouri State (March 31), Kansas (April 15) and Kansas City (April 28).
Postseason play begins with the SEC tournament on May 5-9 at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. NCAA Regionals and Super Regionals are scheduled for May 15-17 and May 21-24, respectively, and the Women's College World Series is set for May 28-June 5.

MIZZOU SOFTBALL
Mizzou softball returns to action in 2026, after just missing out on an NCAA Tournament bid – snapping a 17-season streak of consecutive appearances. The Tigers tallied 25 wins in 2025, as they had the ninth-toughest schedule in the country.
Head coach Larissa Anderson enters her seventh season with a 217-115 record as the Tigers' manager and has led them to five NCAA Regional appearances and a pair of Super Regionals.
The Tigers return five position starters from last season with catcher/outfielder Stefania Abruscato, outfielder Claire Cahalan, utility player Kayley Lenger, infielder/outfielder Madison Uptegrove and first baseman Abby Hay.
In the circle, Mizzou starters Cierra Harrison and Marissa McCann return for another season.
Newcomers to watch for the Tigers include: 2025 Missouri Gatorade Softball Player of the Year Abby Carr, East Carolina's single-season home run leader Emma Jackson, and Houston's former ace Rylee Michalak.

- Mizzou will open its 2026 campaign at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic starting Feb. 6 through Feb. 8 in Clearwater, Fla. at the Eddie C. Moore Complex against Penn State, Oregon, Liberty, BYU and South Alabama.
