No. 20 Illinois earned a 91-48 victory over Mizzou men's basketball on Monday in the McBride Homes Braggin' Rights game. The defeat moves the Tigers to 10-3, while the Fighting Illini improve to 9-3.
MIZZOU LEADERS
Junior Sebastian Mack led the Tigers with a season-high 17 points – connecting on all three of his 3-pointers. Junior Anthony Robinson II added 12 points with four steals.
GAME RECAP
The game was a battle from the jump as both teams exchanged threes in their first possessions. The Tigers found themselves a 6-5 advantage at the 18-minute mark after a couple triples by Robinson, who was responsible for the Tigers' first nine points in the contest.
Consecutive triples by the Fighting Illini with six minutes left in the half sparked an 18-6 run – turning a 14-14 contest into a 32-20 lead. Illinois were anchored during the run on the offensive glass, scoring 16 of its 18 points during the stretch via second-chance points. The run aided a 41-25 advantage for Illinois going into the break.
An early 8-0 run by Illinois extend its lead to 24 with 17 minutes left in regulation. Mizzou was unable to significantly close the gap for the rest of regulation as Illinois earned the 91-48 victory.
TEAM STATS
Mizzou finished the game shooting 28.6 percent from the field. The Tigers also recorded eight steals in the contest.
The Fighting Illini claimed the shooting advantage, shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 45.5 percent behind the 3-point line. Illinois finished the game with 15 triples in comparison to Missouri's six.

The Tigers begin the new year with their SEC-home-opener against the Florida Gators on Jan. 3 at Mizzou Arena. The contest begins at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
