
Swimming and Diving Victorious in Mizzou Invitational

Men's squad wins with 1,663 points, and the women put up 1,726 points to win.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri swimming and diving finished the final day of the Mizzou Invite to place first on both the men's and women's sides. The men finished with 1,633 points while the women accumulated 1,726 points to defeat their opponents.
The Tigers won seven events with five athletes hitting NCAA qualifying standard times.
Freshman Libby Bakker added her third win of the invite, taking first in the 200 back with a 1:55.45 performance. Bakker previously won the 100 back (53.07) and 400 medley relay (3:33.94).
Diving completed their three-day podium sweep with wins in platform diving. Tanner Braunton took first with a score of 401.90 in men's platform diving. The junior was followed by Tommaso Zannella in second with a 351.15 score, and by Derek Colbert in third with a 327.85 performance.
The women's platform diving podium was led by freshman Jazzelle Eikermann Gregorchuk who hit a 254.85 mark. Olivia Liddle put up her highest score of the season to finish in second with 241.00, and was followed by Gabriela San Juan Carmona in third (230.65). Mia Henninger finished fourth (213.80) while Megan Jolly placed sixth (210.65).
Maeve DeYoung picked up her first win of the season in the women's 200 fly. The West Linn, Ore. native, touched the wall in 1:58.49 to take gold. Kylee Sullivan finished right behind in second with a 1:59.35 time.
Standout sprinter, Luke Nebrich won his fifth and sixth events during the third day of competition. The sophomore won the men's 100 free with a NCAA qualifying standard time of 41.77 while also leading the men's 400 free relay to gold. Nebrich, Ethan Vance, Darden Tate and Francois Malherbe put up a 2:50.25 performance. Malherbe also finished second in the 100 free with a time of 42.88.
The women's 400 free relay squad of Sullivan, Katie Kuehn, Haiden Schoessel and Karolina Bank put up a time of 3:18.49 to finish with silver.
Zara Zallen took gold in the 100 free on the women's side. The junior swam a NCAA qualifying standard time of 48.59. Francesca Smith earned bronze in the event with a time of 48.87.
This morning's session was highlighted by the mile competition. The Tiger women were led by Zoe Schneider who swam 16:20.34 in the 1650 free to pass the NCAA qualifying standard and place second. Following her was Peyton Drexler in third with a 16:36.55 swim. Danielle Gleason and Katie Gresik rounded out the Tigers' performances finishing fifth (16:51.37) and sixth (16:52.72).
In the men's 1650 free, Matthew Mortenson led the Tigers with a second-place finish and time of 15:17.76. Conner Boatright followed in fourth (15:18.66) while Sebastian Gonzalez Barboza finished eighth (15:49.58).
Two Tigers picked up NCAA qualifying standards in the men's 200 fly. Jan Zubik swam a 1:41.54 in prelims and 1:42.42 in finals to finish second. Matthew Judkins finished right behind the senior in third with a time of 1:42.84.

NOTABLE RESULTS
- Avery Stein finished seventh in the women's 200 IM with a time of 2:04.09 while Eleanor Hughes came in 19th after posting a 2:08.15 time.
- Kuehn finished eighth in the women's 100 free with a. 50.12 performance. She was followed by Schoessel in ninth (50.26) and Zuzanna Krasnicki in 17th (50.71).
- Darden Tate finished fifth in the men's 100 free with a time of 43.63. He was trailed by Vance in sixth (43.65), Brady Johnson in seventh (43.73) and Jaden Pospishil in eighth (45.00). Ian Everett came in 13th (44.38), and Logan Ottke finished 24th (46.39).
- Annabelle Wentzel finished the women's 200 fly in 2:07.67 to take 11th.
- Freshman Drew Ploof earned a fifth place finish in the men's 200 fly with a time of 1:45.61. Griffin Craig came in eighth with a time of 1:47.77.
- Sydney Bales completed the women's 200 back in 1:59.77 to finish seventh. Piper McNeil followed right behind in eighth with a time of 1:59.79.
- Quinlan Gould took fifth in the men's 200 back with a 1:45.03 performance.

Select athletes from Mizzou's diving squad will travel to Midland, Texas to compete in the USA Diving Winter National Championships, Dec. 10-16.
