
Grace Slaughter Named to Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Watchlist

Mizzou women's basketball junior Grace Slaughter has been recognized on the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Preseason Top 20 Watchlist, as announced on Wednesday.
The award honors the best small forwards in women's college basketball and is presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Slaughter, a standout on the court and in the classroom, was named the 2024-25 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Slaughter has averaged 13.3 points and 3.5 rebounds for her career. The junior is currently ranked second in program history, converting 84.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Last season, Slaughter averaged 15 points per game, ranking 18th in scoring in the SEC. She ranked third in the SEC for free-throw percentage at 85.8 percent and shot 46 percent from behind the 3-point line.
She reached a career-high of 31 points against Mississippi State, two of those points being the game-winning buzzer beater.
Named the 2023 Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year and a McDonald's All-American, Slaughter was the No. 1-ranked player in the state of Missouri and the No. 56 prospect in the country out of Grain Valley High School.
Slaughter begins her junior season on November 3rd as the Tigers face Central Arkansas at Mizzou Arena.
