COLUMBIA, Mo. — A new St. Louis-based network will feature the first live pre- and postgame TV show for University of Missouri football, starting with next week's season-opening game against Murray State. Gray Media is launching St. Louis' only free and independent sports and entertainment network, Matrix Midwest, available now over-the-air on channel 32 and channel 186 on Spectrum/Charter. Matrix Midwest operates alongside sister station, First Alert 4 (KMOV-TV), the St. Louis market's CBS affiliate.
Starting with the Tigers' Aug. 29 opener, Matrix Midwest will launch "Mizzou Live" with presenting sponsor Paytient, an exclusive pre- and postgame show in conjunction with the University of Missouri and Learfield. Mizzou fans will have exclusive access to their favorite team with special analysis from former star wide receiver Justin Gage. The show will be carried state-wide, available in seven markets throughout Missouri: St. Louis (Matrix Midwest), Kansas City (KSMO), Cape Girardeau (KFVS-TOO), Springfield (KYCW), Hannibal (WGEM), St. Joseph (ONPN, News-Press NOW) and Columbia (KZOU).
