COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri senior Milena Fischer was named to the All-SEC Third Team as announced by the league office on Sunday.
Fischer, who received 2021 all-conference freshmen team honors, led the Tigers with six goals and an assist this season.
Half of her scoring total came in a 5-0 defeat of Ole Miss on Oct. 10 as the senior recorded the second hat trick in Missouri soccer history. The first to accomplish the feat was Grace Blum on Oct. 19, 1996, against Nebraska.
Fischer, who landed on the 2022 SEC Preseason Watchlist also scored against Illinois and Alabama in addition to a game-winning goal against Missouri State in the season opener.
Off of the field, the Saarbrücken, Germany native, is a two-time academic honor roll honoree.
The award was voted on by the league's coaches. The SEC added a third all-conference team prior to the start of the year, with the addition of two new conference members, Texas and Oklahoma.
