
Colton Hawks Named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week

COLUMBIA, Mo. — After an upset win at Virginia Tech, University of Missouri wrestler Colton Hawks collects Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors, the conference announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20. This marks the first of the season for the Tigers in 2024-25 and the first of Hawks career.
The redshirt junior, ranked No. 12 at 184 pounds, collected an upset victory in Missouri's No. 8 and No. 7 matchup against Virginia Tech on Nov. 15. Hawks was dominant for the Tigers and secured an 8-2 win by decision over No. 5 and All-American TJ Stewart Jr.
Hawks' victory marked the fifth of the season for Missouri native, as he remains undefeated this season, including two major decisions and a fall.
UP NEXT
After a quick turnaround, the Tigers will head to No. 16 Illinois on Thursday, Nov. 21, with action penciled to start at 7 p.m. that can be streamed on Big10Plus.
