
Softball Announces 2025 Signing Day Class

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri Softball Head Coach Larissa Anderson and her staff announced Wednesday the Tigers' 2025 Signing Day Class.
Avery Porter, Linny Ramsey, Abby Carr, Addy Waits, Avery Adcock and Sidney Forrester will all join the team this upcoming fall ahead of the 2026 season.
Avery Porter
Avery Porter, a 5-7 middle infielder from Katy, Texas.
In the Class of 2025, she ranks #21 in the Southwest Region by Extra Inning, #45 by Line Drive Media and #94 overall by Extra Inning.
Competing with Impact Gold National Jackson 18U team, Porter helped her team earn championships at Alliance Super Cup Stage 1, TFL Championships and Team One Invite. She hit .317 hitter (.398 on-base percentage, .837 OPS) and tallied a .940 fielding percentage with the club.
In her high school career, Porter has twice been named second-team all-district in both her freshman and junior seasons.
Porter is a member of the Canadian U18 National Team, contributing to their second-place finish in the World Cup Qualifier in 2025. She was also named the USSSA All-American Games Defensive MVP in 2020.
Off the field, she is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and holds a 4.05 GPA, placing her among the top students at Katy High School.
Porter's mother, Dawn Constantin, played volleyball at Saint Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.

Linny Ramsey
Linny Ramsey, a 5-6 outfielder from Dearborn, Missouri, heads to the Tigers after setting a school record at North Platte R-1 High School in both career runs (171) and home runs (38).
On the field, Ramsey has helped North Platte R-1 HS register a .741 winning percentage. She has also been named all-district and All-KCI (Kansas City Interscholastic Conference) throughout her four years in high school and was named to the all-state team as a junior.
She is a career .503 hitter at North Platte R-1 HS with 174 RBI.
Besides softball, Ramsey has also excelled in in both basketball and track. In track, she is a 12-time state medalist and three-time team state champion. On the hardwood, she earned all-state honors as a junior on the basketball team.
Ramsey also competes with Select Fastpitch in Shawnee, Kansas. She has recorded a .421 career batting average with 427 RBI, 603 runs and 51 homers.
Linny Ramsey's sister, Gracie Ramsey, is currently a junior on the Park University softball team.

Abby Carr
Abby Carr, a 6-0 pitcher from Wildwood, Missouri, arrives at Mizzou with a stellar track record from Lafayette High School.
In the Class of 2025, Carr is ranked #27 by Perfect Game, #31 by Prep Softball and #41 by Extra Inning. She is a PGF All-American Finalist.
She has set her high school's career records in strikeouts and ERA in the circle and doubles, home runs and batting average as a hitter. Carr finished her high school career with a 55-15 record.
As a senior, Carr posted a 23-0 record with 304 strikeouts and a .242 ERA across 144.2 innings. She was named to the all-district first team, all-region first team and the all-state tournament team.
Carr tossed a 16-strikeout, eight-inning, no-hitter to propel Lafayette to a state championship in 2024.
Carr is a three-time all-state selection and earned pitcher of the year each of the past two seasons.
Additionally, she was recognized as a four-time academic all-state honoree and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Besides softball, Carr also competed on the swim team at Lafayette HS.
She has also excelled with the Select Fastpitch club team out of Kansas City, Missouri, where she hit .420. In the circle, Carr has recorded 136 strikeouts over 106.2 innings with a 2.691 ERA.
Carr is the daughter of collegiate athletes. Abby Carr's father, Mike Carr, played baseball at Missouri State, while her mother, Katie Carr, played softball at Pittsburgh.

Addy Waits
Addy Waits, a 5-5 third baseman from Lee's Summit, Missouri, joins the Tigers following an impressive career at Lee's Summit West High School.
She is ranked No. 41 overall for the class of 2025 by Line Drive Media. Waits was most recently named a 2024 NFCA First Team All-Region selection.
Waits set Lee's Summit West HS career records in hits (180), on-base percentage (.563), doubles (42), walks (70), stolen bases (49) and runs (157).
Throughout her senior season, she batted .504 (.604 on-base percentage, .903 slugging), racking up 17 doubles, eight home runs, 45 RBI and 47 runs. A three-time all-conference, all-state and all-district player, she also named to the MO/KAN All-Star team.
Waits helped Lee's Summit West HS capture the Missouri 5A State Championship as a freshman with current Mizzou closer Taylor Pannell.
Besides softball, Waits is also a state champion in flag football. She has also competed on the basketball team.
Waits competes with Aces Fastpitch in Kansas City.
In the classroom, she holds a 4.03 GPA and has been named an NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete.

Avery Adcock
Avery Adcock, a 5-6 middle infielder from Cerulean, Kentucky, comes to the Tigers as a three-time first team all-district and first team all-region player.
She is also a four-time district champion, and helped Christian County High School reach the regional championship over her freshman year.
Adcock batted .533 over her junior season with 56 hits, nine home runs, and eight doubles, 23 stolen bases and 29 walks.
She also competes with the TN Mojo club team which is ranked by Extra Innings. This past summer she tallied 30 hits, four home runs, eight doubles, five stolen bases and eight walks for a .370 batting average.
Besides softball, she also played soccer in high school.
Academically, Adcock serves as class president and ranks first in her class of 270 students with a 4.3 GPA.
Avery Adcock also has two relatives who have played sports collegiately. Steven Kelley played football at Kentucky and Jenna Adcock played soccer at The Citadel.

Sidney Forrester
Sidney Forrester, a 5-11 first base and outfielder from Miami, Oklahoma, joins the Tigers after earning all-region and all-state accolades after her senior season at Miami High School.
She hit .707 (.825 on-base percentage and 1.793 slugging percentage) with 16 homers, 13 doubles, 40 RBI, 41 hits, 49 runs and 26 walks for 2024 Prep Nation Slugger Top 4A Offensive Hitter honors.
Forrester comes to Mizzou after being named the Oklahoma Class 4A-7 District Player of the Year three years in a row. In addition to Player of the Year, she earned All-District honors as a shortstop in 2021.
Over her high school career, Forrester batted .545 (.633 on-base percentage) with 180 hits and 159 RBI. She recorded 46 home runs, 47 doubles, seven triples, and 28 stolen bases.
Forrester also competes with the Aces Fastpitch 18U club team based in Kansas City, Missouri. With the Aces, she broke the single-season record for home runs for the organization with 28. Forrester batted .446 (.984 slugging percentage) with 83 hits and 81 RBI.
