
Men’s Golf Opens Play at North Carolina

In a field that features seven teams ranked nationally in the top 35, University of Missouri men's golf opened play at The Williams Cup on Sunday with senior Dagbjartur Sigurbrandsson leading the way for the Tigers.
Sigurbrandsson carded a one-over 73 to place 18th after one round of play. After playing the first 11 holes at five-over, Sigubrandsson finished the day strong by playing the final six holes at four under – birding holes 13, 14, 16 and 18.
Mattias Varjun (+2), Veikka Viskari (+4), Virgilio Paz (+4) and Brock Snyder (+5) rounded out the day for Mizzou.
The second day of action begins on Monday morning with Mizzou teeing off at 7:15 a.m. CT.
