Men’s Golf Concludes SEC Match Play

Vestavia, Ala. – The University of Missouri men's golf team shot a team-best round Sunday, on the way to a thirteenth-place finish at the 2022 Southeastern Match Play at Old Overton Golf Course in Vestavia, Alabama.
The Tigers shot their best round in the second round Sunday, Sept. 25, tying for eleventh on the leader board with a 3-under-par 557. Mizzou finished with a 54-hole total of 844, four strokes over par.
Individually, Mizzou placed one golfer in the top-25, as Charlie Crockett tied for 21st after firing a 4-under-par 66. Crockett finished with a final-round 69 and totaled an 4-under-par score of 206 for the tournament.
Freshman Antonio Safa 212 (72-70-70, +2) and graduate student Tommy Boone 212 (70,68,74, +2) shared 44th place. Freshman Alfons Bondesson claimed a piece of 60th place at 216 (73-67-76, +6). Junior Jack Lundin rounded out the lineup in 70th place at 224 (74-76-74, +14).
Entering match play Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Tigers were matched up against LSU. Mizzou won two of the matchups against LSU. The Tiger's first win came in the first and third matches as Crocket won a 5 and 4 decision to Nicholas Arcement and Jack Lundin won a 2&1 decision to Garrett Barber.
