
Mizzou Tennis Will Face Arkansas in SEC Opening Match

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Missouri (5-8) is slated to play the University of Arkansas (7-3) in its first SEC match of the season on Saturday, March 5.
Last Week on the East Coast
The Tigers head to Fayetteville after playing five matches in five days the week prior. The team competed in its first double-header of the season on Wednesday, taking on Liberty University then James Madison University. Mizzou broke even, dropping the first match to Liberty, 3-4, but pulling through against JMU, 4-3. No. 22 Old Dominion was next up on the Tigers' schedule. Mizzou was on the cusp of winning a couple of games before Old Dominion clinched, 0-4. To round off the week, Missouri was tasked with a second double-header, this time against Florida Atlantic University and the University of North Florida. The team was unable to pull in another win, dropping both matches, 3-4, 1-4.
About Arkansas
Arkansas is riding a three-game win streak after defeating Wichita State, Arkansas State and SMU. The Razorbacks gave up just two points across the three matches. Arkansas has also only competed against one ranked opponent, No. 16 Stanford, and lost, 2-4. Historically, the Tigers are 3-14 against the Razorbacks. The team's last victory against Arkansas came during the 2012-13 season where Mizzou took a 5-2 win.
