No. 3 Arkansas scores four unearned to top Tigers
COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri baseball committed a pair of seventh-inning errors leading to four unearned runs as No. 3 Arkansas claimed the series with a 6-4 win at Taylor Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Mizzou (13-7, 1-5 SEC) jumped to an early lead thanks to a two-run home run off the bat of Luke Mann in the second inning. The advantage was short lived, however, as Arkansas (18-4, 5-1 SEC) took advantage of three walks to plate a pair in the fourth and draw even.
Two errors and a balk conspired to concede four unearned runs in the decisive seventh. The Tigers would rally to score a pair in the eighth, but could not complete the comeback.
Christian Wall (0-2) took the loss after surrendering the four unearned runs in the seventh.
IMPACT INNING
Tied 2-2 in the seventh, a leadoff walk spelled trouble and was followed by a pair of errors and an infield single to push a run across and give the Razorbacks a 3-2 lead. A balk plated another run before Braydon Webb doubled over the third base bag to give Arkansas a 6-2 advantage. All four runs in the inning were unearned.

FROM THE SKIP
Coach Bieser on the tight series and rubber game loss…
"When you look at the three games as a whole, both teams competed, competed hard, we just came up short today. I thought we started well, everything looked good and then we kind of went to sleep there a little bit in the middle innings... and then we got a little sloppy defensively. So, things that you know we can continue to work on and we'll get better."
