
New Program-High Championship Score for No. 11 Gymnastics

BIRIMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 11 University of Missouri gymnastics team recorded its highest-ever conference championship score and finish with a 196.875 to place fourth at the 2022 Southeastern Conference Championships on Saturday at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Ala. The fourth-place finish surpassed last year high of sixth and the 196.875 bettered the 196.125 recorded at the 2021 SEC Championships. The Tigers shattered the previous program championship high of 196.700 that was set in 2003.
Florida won the team title with a score of 198.200. Alabama took second with 197.825, ahead of Auburn in third with 197.225 and Mizzou in fourth with 196.825. LSU took home fifth-place with 196.725, Arkansas sixth with 196.450, Kentucky seventh with 196.350 and Georgia eighth with 195.800.
Sophomore Sienna Schreiber tied for second on beam with a 9.95, which was the highest score of the afternoon session. She also totaled 39.450 in the all-around which tied her for sixth.
Freshman Jocelyn Moore tied for second on vault with a 9.95, which was the highest score of the afternoon session.
Freshman Amari Celestine tied for fifth on floor with a 9.925, which was the highest score of the afternoon session.

- The Tigers opened the night with a 49.150 on bars, with four Tigers of scores of 9.8 or higher. Junior Helen Hu tallied a 9.875, while junior Hollyn Patrick and Schreiber went 9.85. Senior Alisa Sheremeta tallied a 9.800. The leadoff sophomore Amaya Marshall tallied a 9.775 for the Tigers.
- Schreiber paced the Tigers with a 9.95 on beam in the second rotation as the squad earned a 49.250. Sheremeta earned a score of 9.90. Marshall garnered a score of 9.825 and sophomore Sydney Schaffer a 9.800. Senior Hannah McCrary went 9.775.
- In the third rotation, Missouri totaled a 49.325 on floor. The Freshman anchors led the team, Moore tallied a 9.90 and Celestine a session-best 9.925. Sheremeta garnered a score of 9.850. McCrary and Schreiber both tallied 9.825s.
- Mizzou closed the session with a strong performance on vault, earning a 49.150 on the apparatus. Moore once again led the way with a 9.950, with her third-consecutive score of 9.95 on vault. Celestine tallied a 9.850, while Schreiber tallied a 9.825. Additionally, McCrary scored a 9.750 and freshman Grace Anne Davis a 9.775.
