
Three Tigers Earn Top Finishes at NCAA Championships

The men’s team finished 24th with nine points.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Missouri track and field concluded the indoor season at the NCAA Championships on Saturday. All three competitors were named first-team All-America. The men's team finished 24th with nine points, its highest placing since 2009.
Georgi Nachev (Yambol, Bulgaria) placed fourth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 16.23m (53-3), earning an All-America finish for the second year in a row.
In the men's high jump, Roberto Vilches (Mexico City, Mexico) made it to the podium placing fifth in the competition with a clearance of 2.20m (7-2.5). Vilches is now a four-time All-American.
Arianna Fisher (San Jose, Calif.) earned her fourth career All-America honor with a leap of 13.52m (44-4.25) in the women's triple jump. She placed seventh in the event.

The Tigers will take a week off before sending groups to the Ole Miss Invitational, Raleigh Relays and Texas Relays (March 25-26).
