The men’s distance squad achieved four top ten program records on the first day of the event.

RALEIGH, N.C. – Mizzou track and field completed the first day of the Raleigh Relays with the men's distance squad competing across four events on Friday at Paul H. Derr Track Facility.

All three Tigers in the 1500m tallied personal bests, with two adding new entries to the program's all-time list for the 1500m. Lasse Funck finished 13th among a field of over 200 with a 3:41.98, a personal best and fifth all-time for Missouri. Finn Russell followed in 18th with a personal record of 3:42.60, good for seventh all-time. Ethan Hogan clocked a 3:48.34 to place 87th, besting his previous record from last week by two seconds.

In the 3000m steeplechase, Elijah Limo posted a 8:40.60 to take eighth, marking second in program history. Joshua Allison crossed the finish line in 8:49.31 to place 19th, standing sixth all-time on the Missouri charts.

In his first time running the 5000m, Carter Spradling placed with the top 16 percent of the competition, recording a 14:16.58 to finish 24th.

Tyler Freiner and Drew Rogers represented the Tigers in the 10,000m, finishing in 21st and 38th, respectively. Freiner notched a 29:16.59 while Rogers logged a 29.39.23.
