COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri women's basketball team will play three of the final five regular-season games at home, starting with a Sunday Southeastern Conference matchup against Arkansas. The Tigers (16-8, 5-6 SEC) and Razorbacks (15-8, 5-5 SEC) face off at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday inside Mizzou Arena. The game will air on SEC Network + and the Tiger Radio Network.
Sunday is the Tigers' annual Pink Out game along with alumnae day inside Mizzou Arena. Fans can purchase tickets online.
LAST TIME THEY MET
Arkansas knocked off Missouri 73-63 on January, 9, 2022 at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks used a big first half to take a commanding lead and they held off the Tigers' comeback attempt with the help of five threes from Rylee Langerman. Hayley Frank paced Mizzou with 22 points and five rebounds while Mama Dembele put up a career-best 16 points with five assists.
SERIES BUSINESS
Arkansas leads the all-time affair 16-12 and has won five in-a-row over the Tigers.
THE SHOOTAROUND
- The Tigers started the year with an 8-game winning streak, the best since 2015-16 and its 11-2 nonconference record represents the program's best since 2017-18.
- The Tigers are looking to get back in the win column following losses to Ole Miss and at No. 13/10 Tennessee. Arkansas snapped a two-game losing streak with a 68-66 win against Auburn on Feb. 10.
- The Tigers rank in the top ten in the nation in both field goal percentage (No. 7 / .468) and three-point field goal percentage (No. 2 / .392) and lead the SEC in both categories.
- Junior guard Aijha Blackwell has recorded 18 double-doubles on the season and 38 for her career. Blackwell averages 15.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. She is currently second in the nation in rebounds per game and double doubles.
- Hayley Frank has been shooting 46.9 percent (30-for-64) from three in SEC play while averaging a team-leading 15.1 points per game.
- The Tigers have excelled inside Mizzou Arena this season, posting a 10-2 record on their home floor.
