
No. 10 Wrestling Dominates No. 15 NDSU for Second Conference Win

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 10-ranked University of Missouri wrestling team toppled No. 15-ranked North Dakota State, 28-11, Tuesday, Dec. 20 inside the Hearnes Center.
The Tigers (3-2, 2-0) got off to a hot start as redshirt senior Allan Hart wasted no time recording the fall at 141 in 26 seconds. The opening dual was preceded by three-straight decisions, including an overtime loss for senior Jarrett Jacques in his much anticipated matchup against No. 6-ranked Jared Franek. Sophomore Keegan O'Toole continued his winning ways in a 15-8 decision which saw him move to 8-0 on the season. Redshirt junior Peyton Mocco took us to the break by pinning his opponent at 174.
After Colton Hawks picked up a major decision at 184, Mizzou's lead was stretched to 22-2. Although the Tigers failed to score points in the last two matches, the Elam brothers collected a pair of decisions en route to a 28-11 victory.
MATCH NOTES
- Mizzou is a perfect 6-0 against North Dakota State all-time and 2-0 in the Hearnes Center. Last year, the Tigers topped the Bison 37-3.
- Mauller earns his team-leading 94th career victory, as he continues his trek to becoming the 29th Tiger in program history to join the 100-Win club.
- O'Toole continues streak, improving to 8-0 on the season and earning his 37th-straight collegiate victory.
- Redshirt freshman Eric Lovelace made his Tiger debut at 133 pounds.
- Hart's 26 second pin is the fastest of his career against a Division I opponent, besting the 36 second fall he recorded against Oregon State's Grant Willits Jan. 3, 2021.
