The matchup
• Mizzou holds an 11-7 (does not include 2016 vacated series) edge in the all-time series against Tennessee. All 21 meetings have come during the Mizzou SEC era (since 2013).
• The Tigers are 3-3 all-time against the Vols in games played at Taylor Stadium.
• The Tigers have won four-straight series against Tennessee (2015, 17-19).
• In the most recent meeting in 2019, Mizzou claimed Saturday and Sunday wins to capture the series. The rubber match saw the Tigers erase a 7-0 deficit to take the series from the 23rd-ranked Vols.
CoLETTA CAUGHT FIRE
• Junior Mike Coletta produced his best weekend of the season with a 5-for-9 performance at Alabama.
• Coletta had a pair of two-hit days in the series, going 2-for-3 on Saturday and 2-for-2 with a walk and run scored on Sunday.
• Coletta's strong weekend bolstered his batting average by 39 points. It also marked the first time the backstop has hit in three-straight games this season.
• The catcher leads the team with a .417 average over the past five games and a .360 average over the past 10.
HALVORSEN AT HOME
• In each of his last two starts at home, redshirt sophomore Seth Halvorsen has produced career days and his best outings of the season.
• Against Texas A&M (4/2) Halvorsen spun 10 strikeouts en route to a career-long 7.0 innings while allowing just two earned runs.
• After a two-week road trip, Halvorsen returned to the bump at Taylor Stadium with another stellar performance to limit Georgia (4/23) to just one run on one hit in seven innings.
• Halvorsen carried a no-hitter into the fifth against UGA before a two-out single produced the only hit and run on his ledger.
• Outside of a hiccup against Vanderbilt, Halvorsen has worked to a 1.42 ERA in 19.0 innings in his other three starts at Taylor Stadium this season. Opponents hit just .086 against Halvorsen in those three outings.
