Mizzou Concludes Successful Showing at Drake Relays

The Tigers captured three event wins over the three-day competition
DES MOINES, Iowa — Mizzou Track & Field completed the final day of the 111th Drake Relays on Saturday afternoon, placing four athletes in the top three during the final day of competition.
The Tigers will return with three event titles over the weekend, including another event win for redshirt-freshman Mitch Weber (Saint Clair, Minn.) in the men's discus. He currently ranks third in the nation in the event with a 60.91m mark. Sophomore Morgan O'Neal (Sylacauga, Ala.) also made her mark, becoming the first female to win the 400m hurdles at the Drake Relays in school history.
Notable Finishes
Redshirt senior Jordan McClendon (Black Jack, Mo.) finished second in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 64.74m.
Sophomore Ava Curry (Liberty, Mo.) took home a second-place finish in the women's javelin throw, heaving a new personal best 47.36m.

The Tigers will wrap up their regular season at the Kansas Invitational in Lawrence, Kan., with competition running from Friday, April 30 to Saturday, May 1.
