Innes represented the men’s team with a 23rd place finish in hammer throw.
EUGENE, Ore. – Missouri track and field finished the first day of the NCAA Outdoor Championship Final on Wednesday evening at Hayward Field.

Sam Innes placed 23rd in men's hammer throw with a 63.01m (206-8) on his first trip to Eugene. The senior qualified for the final round after notching eighth with a mark of 67.83m (222-6) at the regional contest. Innes is the only Tiger to compete in both the indoor and outdoor finals in the 2026 campaign.
