Box Score LEXINGTON, Ky. – Mizzou Baseball (7-11, 0-1 SEC) lost its conference opener at Kentucky, 10-2, on Friday evening in Lexington, Ky. The Tigers scattered five hits in the Kentucky starter's career outing.
After giving up seven runs in the first two innings, the Tiger pitching settled into the game, not allowing a run for the remainder of the ballgame. Coming into the game in relief, junior Trae Robertson kept the score where it was until the eighth, scattering one hit over three and a third innings of work.
The Tigers best opportunity to chip into the Wildcats' lead came in the eighth inning when an error, single and a walk loaded the bases with nobody out. One run came in on a groundout from senior Chad McDaniel.
