STILLWATER, Okla - Mizzou Cross Country seniors Sarah Chapman (Maidenhead, England) and Kieran Wood (Cambridge, England) wrapped up the season at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Monday afternoon, placing in 47th and 188th, respectively, battling among the top 250 runners in the nation.
Chapman finished the women's 6K race in a time of 21:03.5, finishing 47th overall and fifth among SEC competitors. She is also Mizzou's highest finisher since Karissa Schweizer finished 11th back in 2017. Wood finished 188th among all competitors with a time of 32:40.1. Over the final two kilometers of the race, Wood moved up 25 spots to secure a top-200 finish.
Both Chapman and Wood wrap up their final cross country season in the Black & Gold after successful senior campaigns in which they both notched first-place finishes at the Gans Creek Classic and top-5 finishes at the SEC Championships back in October, earning All-SEC honors on the year.
