Women’s Golf Prepares for Off-Season Training after Fall Campaign

The women's golf team enters their winter season training period in preparation for the second half of their 2021-22 campaign this spring. The squad's four-event fall season featured a team win as well as a handful of personal record-breaking individual performances. The Tigers showcased strong strides of new talent from their freshman debuts as well as solid veteran experience to anchor the team.

COLUMBIA, Mo – The women's golf team enters their winter season training period in preparation for the second half of their 2021-22 campaign this spring. The squad's four-event fall season featured a team win as well as a handful of personal record-breaking individual performances. The Tigers showcased strong strides of new talent from their freshman debuts as well as solid veteran experience to anchor the team.

The Sam Golden Invitational

  • Brianne Bolden launched into her junior season on a high note, firing two rounds under par, one of which became her season-low, 18-hole score with a 3-under 69.
  • Bolden co-led the team with fellow junior Sophia Yoemans after both carding an even-par 216 to finish tied for 33rd place out of the competitive 81 golfer field.
  • Yoemans tied her career-low round score in the final round with a 3-under 69.
  • Freshman Hallie Kuhns wasted no time to secure a spot in the lineup as she made her career debut.

The Johnie Imes Invitational

  • The Tigers clinched the team title of their hosted event for the seventh consecutive time, marking head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer's 18th career tournament victory.
  • All 11 Tigers saw action and competed as two teams and one individual.
  • Senior Keagan Dunn carded all three rounds under-par to clinch third place in a career-best showing across multiple areas: career-low round score (3-under 69), career-low event score (8-under 208) and career-best finish (3rd place).
  • Four total Top-10 finishes: Dunn (3rd), Noelle Beijer (T-4), Hallie Kuhns (T-8) and Yoemans (10th).
  • Five Tigers – Noelle Beijer, Hallie Kuhns, Emily Staples, Sophia Yoemans and Martina Munoz – also recorded personal records for either their round score, event score or event finish.
  • Beijer broke her 18-hole score record with her first round 5-under 67.
  • Kuhns carded her first two career rounds under-par with a pair of 1-under 71s.

The Jim West Challenge

  • Yoemans once again headlined the leaderboard for Mizzou as she finished tied for 41st place in the competitive 76 player slate.
  • Beijer tallied two more rounds of even-par to contribute to her fall tally of five rounds of par or better. She finished tied for 50th overall.

The Ally

  • Yoemans led the charge for the third time this season finishing tied for 23rd place after posting a 3-over 219 event score. Her score was anchored by her first round even-par 72, marking her fifth of the season.
  • Yoemans wrapped up the season leading the team in scoring average with a 72.58 while Beijer leads it in birdies with a total of 37.

UP NEXT: The Tigers have a two-month hiatus before they return to action in early February for the FAU Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Fla.
