Mizzou Track & Field Gears Up for SEC Championships

Columbia, Mo. — Mizzou Track and Field is set to begin its postseason competition at the 2021 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in College Station, Texas, beginning Thursday afternoon. The three-day meet will run through Saturday evening.

Columbia, Mo. — Mizzou Track and Field is set to begin its postseason competition at the 2021 SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in College Station, Texas, beginning Thursday afternoon. The three-day meet will run through Saturday evening.

The meet will be streamed on SEC Network+ on Thursday from 5:40-9:30 p.m. CT and on Friday from 4:45-9:30 p.m. CT. Saturday's competition will be aired live on SEC Network from 5-9 p.m. CT.

The Tigers will send 28 women and 23 men to the meet, including redshirt freshman Mitch Weber (Saint Clair, Minn.) and freshman Skylar Ciccolini (Lewistown, Pa.), who rank in the top-five nationally in the men's discus and women's javelin, respectively.

Headed into championship week, Mizzou has 13 athletes currently sitting in qualifying positions for the NCAA West Preliminary Championships, which will be held in College Station from May 26-29. Weber (discus), Ciccolini (javelin) and sophomore Georgi Nachev (triple jump) all lead the region in their respective events.
