COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men's Golfer Ross Steelman (Columbia, Mo.) will make his first postseason appearance as he was given an NCAA Regional individual bid after the NCAA Selection Show announced the slate on the Golf Channel Wednesday afternoon.
The redshirt sophomore is just the tenth player in program history to receive an NCAA Regional berth and is the first to qualify since former Tiger Jamie Stewart in 2019.
Steelman secured the No. 1 individual seed in the Noblesville, Indiana Regional and will compete against nine other players at the Sagamore Club from May 17-19 with the hopes of advancing to the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz. from May 28-June 2.
After his first season was cut short last year, the Columbia native wasted no time showcasing his talent this season. Steelman has posted three Top-5 finishes this spring which includes his second-career win at the Missouri Tiger Invitational where he led the charge for the team title as well. His season performance featured five events and 14 rounds under-par, in addition to being named SEC Newcomer of the Week in April.
