
Kadlec Named to SEC Community Service Team for Mizzou Softball

Redshirt sophomore participates in a variety of community service projects
BIRMINGHAM, Al. – Redshirt sophomore Katherine Kadlec has been named to the SEC Community Service Team for Mizzou Softball, the league announced on Wednesday. The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams in all 21 league sponsored sports to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
In her time at Mizzou, the Columbia, Mo., native has participated in a variety of community service projects. She directs the collection of extra shampoo and conditioner on road trips to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Kadlec has spent time volunteering at both the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Mo., where as a runner she helps transports patients.
She also spends time volunteering at the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri.
Kadlec recently received her EMT license and is on her way to practicing in Missouri.
She has twice been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, landing on the First-Year in 2017-18 and the 2019 Spring roll.
Kadlec has been named an Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete as both a freshman and a sophomore. Locally, she has been honored by Mizzou as a member of the Three Stripes Club – honoring student-athletes for their academic success, social responsibility, and athletic excellence.
Kadlec was honored by the Mizzou Made program this spring with the Female For the Love of the Game Award.
